The LCS (Design and Systems Laboratory) is a multidisciplinary laboratory of the University of Lorraine. It covers skills in Computer Science, Automation, Electronics and Neuroscience. Its researchers develop multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research and work on original problems covering the optimization and modeling of complex systems, personal assistance, the design of on-board electronic systems, intelligent interfaces, business intelligence and systems. human-oriented. The staff numbers around 80 people, 3 thematic research axes (DOP, ENOSIS and CARESS), more than 50 permanent (47 PR / MCF including 20 HDR, 2 engineers and 2 administrative), around twenty doctoral students and post-docs and benefit several research support services (platforms, equipment, common services, etc.). The laboratory has an excellent overall rate of scientific production by publishing nearly 200 articles in international journals over the last 5 years, and has a strong involvement in university training linked to research and professionalization. Numerous research collaborations exist between LCOMS teams and various French and foreign universities. These collaborations are materialized by high-level results, as well as the organization of major international events. LCOMS has also forged links with numerous organizations and partners and has maintained its strong presence in national centers of expertise. Likewise, regular participation in industrial, regional, national and European projects is emphasized.
