The Center for Studies and Research in Informatics and Communications (Cedric), EA 4629, devotes its research to informatics and communications, in particular to the digitization and automation of intelligent processes of interaction, learning, of reasoning, decision and action. Traditional approaches are confronted with recent challenges brought by new computing and communication systems, and the availability of data on a very large scale. Cédric is developing responses on three major axes:
Communicating and interactive systems: design of infrastructures, networks and systems for communication and human-machine interaction
Data science: modeling, optimization, knowledge extraction and machine learning, applied to complex masses of data
Trust and digital security: program and process safety, system reliability and data security
Each of Cédric's eight teams contributes to the coordination and development of the axes according to their scientific expertise.
