The strong originality of the Plant Physiology and Biotechnology unit is that it brings together a set of teams with highly complementary skills which cover very diverse aspects of fruit development biology. In particular, the ability to tackle both "mechanistic" questions at the genetic and molecular level, as well as to promote innovative research in integrative plant biology. This same configuration is also likely to promote technology transfers and allow an effective valuation of the work of the teams towards the professional sector.

It should be noted that UMR 619 is divided into 4 thematic teams:

Organogenesis and regulation of cell division,

Functional genomics of fruit development,

Regulation of metabolism in fruits,

Functional genomics and quality of the grape berry.
